I gotta be real.
I honestly did’t even want to do this shoot.

It had nothing to do with my friend JT, (friend, model, beast of a photographer) or the location but I had been feeling really crappy recently. I had been house sitting for some friends and a slew of crazy things had happened only in the first few days I had been there and I was overwhelmed with some other personal things going on in my life. I think what had kept me there was that I recently rented 2 new lenses from a friend I had recently connected back with.

The “I-series2 24-70mm 2.8 & the 70-200mm 3.5”. These were some heavy duty lenses and I would be upset at myself if I didn’t stay for at least an hour to do this shoot.
I am so glad I pushed through the fog physically and mentally because these photos came out too clean! I thought I would never short portraits without a prime lens, but the bokeh that the 70-200mm creates is insane! To this day I have only used my Sigma Art 35mm 1.8, “my baby” once during the past 15-20 photoshoots that I have had this year.

Push through that mental block.
Push through the laziness feeling.
Push through and remember that this is your passion and what you love to do.
