LOVER’S LEAP STATE PARK - NEW MILFORD, CT
Wait, where are we going…
(If you have not read Part I read it before this one!)
Josh Rivera has been such a great friend in my life over the last 5 years.
I think the funniest thing still that he says to me is that I’m the one to thank for his fiancé Christie to choose him to marry because all of his photos on his dating profile were taken by me😂. That’s why he chose me to photograph his engagement photos and now
(2 weeks from this post) I will be photographing their wedding.
Immediately after my shoot with Luke and Jess I hopped in my car and was on the way to the location
ALWAYS KNOW THE AVAILABILITY OF YOUR LOCATION
There was a big chance that this park on a Saturday evening was closed in the evening…well because it said so on the Internet and we all know it has to be true. I did not want to show up and not have a place to shoot.
So Christie (future bride) has no idea where Josh is taking her, she is in his car and I am on the phone with him so he had to talk in code so she didn’t catch any whiff of his plan.
I am driving south to the original location contacting all of my CT photographer friends and one responds with “Lover’s Leap State Park” I forward it to Josh and we are on our way.
He surprisingly gets there before me and I am close behind.
Picture a 6 ft man with a big beard hulling down a hill with 20lbs of photography gear on him trying to be sneaky and hiding behind trees as other people stare in aw that I have not fallen yet.
Yep, I know what you’re thinking, so elegant.
I have Josh and Christie in sight as I bring my camera to my face and as I give Josh the head nod he drops to his knee and Christie turns around and my finger did not leave the shutter button for a whole minute.
Golden hour was right around the corner and this was a beautiful photoshoot with another amazing couple.
